Welcome to Rootswork

The new membership 2020-21 season's form links

and information sheet links are posted below

and can be downloaded as PDFs.

Membership sign-ups are now open for the

2020-21 Season, which starts on July 1st.

Below are some of the details pertaining to the new season.

There are a few changes for the 2020-21 Rootswork membership season. We are increasing our membership fee for the 1st time in 10 years from $35 to $45 in order to afford some needed office staff help. We calculate that the Rootswork price savings from just one fill-up of a 100 gallon propane tank will offset this $45 expense twice over. The Rootswork Fuel Group still remains very competitive with other fuel groups while offering better, and more transparent, price options for our members, all while supporting local non profit community projects.

New Fuel Price Options: The other major changes this year is that for the first time since our fuel group began in 2007, we are offering the option of locking in a fixed price for the whole season with several of our suppliers.

New Fuel Supplier Options: We are now offering some attractive Central Vermont based local energy supplier options, with the welcome addition of Ward’s Energy (Waitsfield VT), and Bourne’s Energy (Waterbury and Waitsfield VT).

In summary here’s a list our changes to the Rootswork Fuel Program to be aware of for the new season:

  • Membership fee increase from $35 to $45
  • Time Sensitive Option* to lock in fixed fuel prices (these options vary with each supplier) *This option requires you to act quickly now to decide if you want the extra insurance of not worrying about the fluctuations of fuel costs in an unstable world. Contracts must be signed with your supplier before their July deadlines, or before the allotted fuel is spoken for on a 1st come 1st served basis.
  • Option to support local Energy Companies who keep their investments here in our communities

As always, which option you decide on is between you and your chosen supplier
